CAPE Members Present Gov. Ritter With 1,000 Ideas for Improvements
CAPE members recently presented Gov. Bill Ritter with 1,000 ideas from state employees on how to improve government, underscoring our commitment to developing a partnership with the state in the best interest of employees and state residents.
The Colorado Association of Public Employees (CAPE) was the only state employee organization that participated in the Governor’s press conference about the creation of the Government Efficiency and Management (GEM) commission. CAPE members collected the ideas from state employees earlier this year.
During the event, CAPE member George Orlowski spoke with the Governor about his idea to create a searchable, electronic database to better serve citizens using our state archives and then shared additional employee ideas from across the state.
