CAPE-SEIU: A New Type of Employee Organization for the 21st Century
The state employees uniting in CAPE-SEIU are building a modern employee organization adapted to the realities of our constantly changing and competitive world. The following 5 principles guide our work as an organization: CAPE-SEIU focuses on solutions – not conflict. Our organization takes a partnership approach whenever possible and works with management to get results for the people of Colorado. CAPE-SEIU members are dedicated to serving the public interest and are constantly looking for ways to improve health care, higher education, law enforcement, environmental quality, transportation and all the other essential state services that make Colorado a great place to live and work. CAPE-SEIU is reaching out to the State of Colorado and other employers to drive innovation and quality in health care, education and other essential public service fields. CAPE-SEIU supports empowering front-line employees to work directly with local managers to reduce bureaucratic red-tape and eliminate waste.
CAPE-SEIU reaches out to businesses and all Colorado residents to build support for initiatives that improve government effectiveness and health care for all of us. Learn more about CAPE-SEIU's partnerships with business and the community.
CAPE-SEIU is standing up for all the employees who work hard and play by the rules. CAPE-SEIU is focused on the issues the majority of state employees care about – better health care, better pay, better public services and the staffing and resources needed to do our jobs right. |
"We’ve still got a long way to go on issues like pay and health care, but our efforts this year are showing that state employees can make a difference when we work together. We hope you’ll join us.”
