CAPE Helps Offset Insurance Premium Increases
CAPE was the ONLY state employee organization that pushed for the increased $15.7 million in state health care funding with a big outreach campaign to lawmakers and the media.

More than 150 state employees met with lawmakers at the state capitol and nearly 3,000 state employees signed CAPE petitions, asking the state for additional health care dollars. Because of lobbying by CAPE members, multiple attempts to take money away from state employee health care were unsuccessful.
